Since its inception, Petplan Charitable Trust has awarded scientific and capital grants totalling over £3 million.   In 2009, the Trust awarded 12 grants totalling just over £200,000 to various institutions across the UK. 

All projects funded are bound by the Trust's ethics policy - in brief, the Trust has a strict non-invasive study policy, and no experimental animals can be used.
