Veterinary Pathology Research Award
Applications now invited
The Journal of Comparative Pathology Educational Trust and the Petplan Charitable Trust are pleased to announce the creation of a joint Research award of £15,000 to fund a pump priming or research study related specifically to an aspect of Veterinary Pathology.
Professor Michael Day, Editor-in-Chief of the Journal of Comparative Pathology, in announcing the award said “The Journal of Comparative Pathology Educational Trust was established in 2008 to support training and research in veterinary pathology. We have run a successful programme of conference and travel bursaries for junior pathologists and are now offering this new research award. In partnering with the Petplan Charitable Trust, we have been able to increase the value of the award and increase our exposure to the veterinary research community.”
David Simpson, Chair of Trustees of the Petplan Charitable Trust said “This is the first time the Petplan Charitable Trust has collaborated on a grant in this way and we are delighted to be doing so. We are also hopeful that this will provide a model for future collaborations to increase much needed funding for worthwhile research in this important discipline.”
Applications are now invited. The closing date for applications will be 19th May 2017 and the award will be announced on the 18th July 2017.
